We must also look at long term effects of any energy source.... hence i believe solar energy is the best.... requires minimal maintanence cost once installed, cheaper and eco friendly.... and absolutely no deaths for installing a solar panel at your home... this must be looked into and we must not overlook a completely ( cost, pollution, death)-free source of energy come on, it's time we do this... i don't know why on earth solar energy is so dang neglected

People arguing about the death tolls of nuclear energy rely a lot on the "but sometimes" argument. We have something that's superior in many ways, but sometimes bad things happen. This ignores the same issue that happens with current technologies just to stay where things feel familiar.

I think the problem is that people can use the big explosions and disasters from Chernobyl and Fukushima to demonize nuclear energy, and don't realize that while not as dramatic, air pollutions kills many, many more.
